How NREMT questions actually work
The NREMT is computer-adaptive. Get an item right and the next one gets harder; miss it and the next one gets easier. Your score is not the percent correct — it's a difficulty-adjusted ability estimate. That's why the best prep is repeated exposure to exam-style items, not memorizing a question bank.
When two answers look correct, the NREMT wants the least invasive intervention that fixes the immediate problem. Airway before circulation. BLS before ALS. Scene safety before anything.
